Megève Nightlife

  • Before and After Nigtclub

Sometimes i'm ready to change the big noisy bar to the small cozy one. Wake Up Bar is one of them. There are very hospitable barmen (and owners at the same time) who will never leave you without attention.

Megève Local Customs

  • Feux de la St Jean / St Jean Fireworks

by megevan Updated Apr 4, 2011

In June, on Saint Jean day, the custom is to prepare fires at the top of the mountains around Megeve. It is a nice event to watch at night time. It is a Christian Catholic custom but the root of this custom seems to come from celtic customs to worship the god called Belennos. More traditions about Megeve can be found on http://www.mageva.com, the old celtic name of Megeve is MagEva.
