Majestic Bruchsal Palace
Bruchsal Palace, or Schloss Bruchsal, is a remarkable example of Baroque architecture in Baden-Württemberg.
Founded in the 18th century by Prince-Bishop Damian Hugo Philipp von Schönborn, this palace complex, which includes over 50 buildings, exemplifies opulence with its stunning Rococo staircase crafted by Balthasar Neumann. The palace served as a residence for the Prince-Bishops, but their occupancy lasted less than a century. In 1945, much of the palace was damaged during an air raid, but it underwent extensive restoration and houses valuable European tapestries and museums.
