"ARCHAION GEFSEIS": Experience the Ancient Greek Food!

What do we know about the food habits of the Ancient Greeks?
What do we know about their tastes and recipes?

If this kind of questions seems to cross your mind, do not bother anymore! The answer is:
"Archaion Gefseis" (the Ancients' Tastes).According to the founder and owner of this particular restaurant, this is the place if you want to experience the cuisine of the Ancient Greeks! He has searched thoroughly through the Ancient Greek writers and their respective texts and brought to surface, all those forgotten recipes, you always wanted to taste!

Do not be surprised if you do not find any potatoes and tomatoes on your dish: the Ancient Greeks "ignored" those products, which came actually from the New World.

You will not use fork, just spoon and knife, because the Ancient Greeks did not use any forks!

    Favorite Dish: Difficult to explain!

There is a detailed menu, translated from Ancient Greek into English!

Address: Kodratou 22, Plateia Karaiskaki Sq., ATHENS

Directions: It is a litlle bit difficult to find it, among so many narrow streets, but once you find Karaiskaki Sq. the rest is easy.

    Phone: 0030-210-52 39 661
