Averoff Gallery: A Modern Art Treasure

The Averoff Gallery, an art museum located in Metsovo, Greece, is dedicated to modern Greek art. Established in 1985 and officially inaugurated in 1988 by Evangelos Averoff, the gallery exhibits a diverse collection of works from notable Greek artists spanning the 19th and 20th centuries.

The architecture includes a three-storey design with an extension added in 1994, creating a harmonious space for artistic expression. Besides its permanent collection of 250 pieces, including paintings, drawings, and sculptures, the gallery features temporary exhibitions that highlight local culture and has a dedicated space for children's art.
