It doesn't cease to amaze me how many old greek/roman ruins there are. Think that they date back to the time of the caesars and beyond. Here I'm sitting in the middle of it all dreaming.

    Getting Around Town

by marybellone Written Dec 28, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The best way to see Kos is by scooter or bike. There are lots of places where you can rent one for the day. We rented bikes for 2 euros a day. We got to see lots of places this way!

Directions: The only direction I can give is that it is on the same street as Michalis Studios and Apartments near Kos Harbor. If you stay at Michalis Manos, the owner, will set things up for you!

    Walk to the fortress

by Zirpsis Updated Dec 3, 2005

    3 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There's a beautiful view from the top of the wall but to get there, you need to climb many steps. On a hot summer day, it could be strenuous so remember to take your water bottle with you.
