Between April and mid-October there is a public bus service from St Patrick’s Quay.Begin by watching an informative video that will introduce you to the story of Jameson. The long-standing brand has been producing Irish whiskey for more than 230 years. After getting up to spe talk a walk through the old distillery in the company of an expert guide. An Bróg Tips (1)

An Bróg: Lowest common denominator for a night out

A popular venue for live music, pints, gatherings, pub quizzes, whatever. It is one of the larger pubs on Oliver Plunkett Street, mainly known for Indie/Alternative style. A little more mainstream than Preachers, but also larger and with a stage and frequent live music. Indeed, it is one of the largest in Cork, unfortunately also one of the more expensive. The atmosphere is nice, however – despite the size – it can become crowded on weekends.
As many other pubs on Oliver Plunkett street, it tries to be everything to everyone. It makes An Bróg a safe bet and attracts a variety of crowd, but as many other of the big Cork pubs it lacks an individual note. Still, I strongly recommend ot for an easy night out.
