Jaunting carts Tips (3)

Jaunting Carts

We were stopped by a jaunting cart driver who wanted our business. We told him we were looking for horse back riding and he got kind of rude and said it was too late inn the season for that and he was about the only way to see the area. Around the next bend we found a man renting horses for riding. One of the best memories of the trip.

Only fools and horses

There's plenty of spiel from owners but unless all the horses have doubles they don't really get anywhere near as much rest as claimed. And don't try to get directions to anywhere as you'll find yourself paying money to travel 30 yards around the corner to where you were trying to get to before being told it's a couple of miles away!

Jaunting carts

Killarney - Jaunting carts found at the top of the main st & around Muckross house. Favoured by elderly American tourists. Total rip-off.

Unique Suggestions Hope no-one sees you on them!

Fun Alternatives I can see how attractive the idea of a jaunting cart is when going around the park & town, as you would probably need a car to see all the sights in a day, or unless you're very fit. Still, you have the option of renting a car or bicycle or joining a tour.
