The Public Marine Aquarium of Trieste, founded in 1933, is a continuation of the Sant’Andrea Marine Zoological Centre that operated from 1875 to 1915. This aquarium, initiated by zoologist Giuseppe Müller, showcases the rich marine biology of the Adriatic Sea.
