"From Milan (Central train station) take the train to Varenna (approx. 1-hour) a charming little village on the Lake Como right in front of Bellagio another renowned 'treasure' of the lake. Your guide will meet you upon your arrival and you will enjoy a short tour of the picturesque village. Walk through the labyrinth of typically narrow streets some of them built over the rock and cliff right above the water and enjoy a breathtaking view. Then you will drive all the way up to Valtellina which is a valley located in the Lombardy region (northern Italy) that begins right at the top of lake Como. Your guide will drive as much as possible off the main roads so that you can go through some tiny and pristine villages clinging to the mountains. You will stop for lunch (local wine included)
