    Florence Nightlife

During Christmas time it's a good choice to go to the Santa Croce church, and visit the piazza there. Sitting outside in december maybe doesn't sounds like a great idea, but the beer carousel at the piazza is really fun! It's not like an amusment park carousel, as it goes around much slower, but it gives you plenty of time to look around at...

    Pisa Nightlife

If you plan to stop over in Pisa check out the Theatro Verdi. An impressive old Theatre and Opera House dating from 1865-67. Performances of opera, dance, music and plays. There is also a nice little cafe bar which is open during the day. Although the box seats are not very comfortable, the acoustics and productions are good. Dress code seems to...

  • Astor Cafe

    Florence Nightlife

Astor is a great place to go at night because it has a good mix of Americans and Italians. Also, there's almost always a really cheap drink deal till at least 12, and they make great drinks! The DJs are usually playing great music too. We go a lot because it's right next to the Duomo and really easy to get to. Their burgers and coffee during the...

  • La Dolce Vita

    Florence Nightlife

This bar has the feel of a "local"; the patrons all appear to know each other. The clientele range from 25-40 in age and in typical Italian style, the men look better as they get older! The drinks are modetately, priced at 9 euros per cocktail. If you order at the table, they'll bring snacks. Expect friendly conversation and a round of drinks...

  • Maracana Grill

    Florence Nightlife

This is according to me the hottest place in the whole Florence. At least on Sundays. Or, at least it was... But lets take it from the beginning. Maracana is located in the central parts of Florence. A restaurant/nightclub that has its best evenings on Sundays. Open all week long, except Mondays, but during the week the atmosphere is worse, and...

  • Joshua Tree Pub

    Florence Nightlife

I am currently studying abroad in Florence, and like most students enjoy going out at night. The only problem is that 90% of the bars/clubs here are full of other students studying abroad- if I wanted to hang out all night at a college bar getting drunk and dancing on tables I'd stay home and not travel all the way to Italy. One of the few places...

  • Jazz Club Firenze

    Florence Nightlife

Being from New Orleans, I realize I am a jazz snob. Being inundated with excellent jazz does that to you. So, it was no surprise to me that the jazz here was average for my taste. However, the people I went with thoroughly enjoyed the music, and we all had a good time at this club, so all's well that ends well! The club is situated downstairs...

  • Golden View Open Bar

    Florence Nightlife

I didn't catch the name of this bar and I don't think its name could be so decisive to know it. The bar is situated right on the right side of the River Arno and opposite to Ponte Vecchio, offering small and cosy terrace ideal for people watching. Those who are curious characters wont miss it, lol.

I really enjoyed the different perspective I got by visiting the Duomo and Baptistry at night. The crowds were still there, but it was all dark and kind of cool to see all the colours of the buildings in the dusky light!!!

  • Colle Bereto

    Florence Nightlife

this bar has a sophisticated clientele, late twenty and thirtysomethings. Prices are a couple of euros higher than, say Moyo. There is an upstairs room with couches that is sometimes reserved for private or exclusive events (and guarded by a bouncer). On such nights, a friendly bar person might still get you in. There are tables outside the bar...

    Florence Nightlife

This little Irish Pub is right in the Historic Centre of Florence, just meters from the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore. The pub itself has two floors. I stayed on the main floor, which was quite narrow and somewhat long. The bar is at the back of the building, there are a couple of tables and a handful of bar stools. There is a t.v. on the wall...

    Florence Nightlife

At Doris you have 4 different rooms, with different music and different bars. It is a hot spot for clubbing since last year. There is a chill-out zone on the lower ground with leather sofas and soft lighting and upstairs there is a total black room much more "trasgressive". Best night is Thursday night. Open from 11pm to 4 am Closed on Sundays...

  • Santino

    Florence Nightlife

Il Santino is the young brother of Il Santo bevitore. It is a sort of deli shop where people can by cheeses, ham, wines, and all sort of Gatsro delicacy. It is a great place for a quick lunch (daily selection of soups, mini eggplant parmigiana, anchovies in oil, liver pate), but at aperitif time it is even more magic. The ambience is cozy and warm...

Walking at night in Siena will somehow take your senses really back into medieval times, due to the fact, that there is absolutely NO car-trafic in these streets and there are almost no modern buildings at all.Somehow you even expect to meet knights on horses, on their way back home... NO special dress-codes there !

The Loggia della Mercanzia looks best at night, as this great building - dating back to 1444 - was built in a place, where sunlight will never get during the day, and many of the sculptures, paintings and graffities look best at night, when they are artificially lighted.Loggia della Mercanzia is just behind Piazza del Campo and may be easily...
