The main streets of Montagnana have porches, quite good to shelter you from the rain and cold in winter, and from the burning sun in summer. But, that way, you can literally pass under very fine architecture pieces without even noticing it.
So, don't forget to look up, every now and then!
Like the one in the picture (from the main square to Porta Legnago), showing a clear influence from the period of the Venetian domination.. Just look at the windows shape!
From the main square, go north towards porta Vicenza and, when you are near the gate, look right and left.
All along the city mediaval walls there's a line of tiny houses... Each one has the city wall like back wall...
