On the south side of the old town, overlooking the Mediterranean and the beautiful Port Fontvielle are the Gardens of Saint Martin. Here you have serene walks through shady trees which occasionally break open onto tremendous views of the Mediterranean, all the way to Cape Martin. Right in the middle of the gardens, looking out over the sea, is a bronze statue of Prince Albert I in full sailor costume, complete with yacht wheel.
