  • How to get there from Ede-Wageningen

    by wur_ErikE Written Aug 26, 2006

Wageningen shares it's railway station with Ede (it's called Ede-Wageningen obviously). Upon my first arrival I was a little bit confused on how to travel from there, so I'd guess it would be good to place some information on that. From Ede-W. there are 2 lines going: the 86 and the 83. The 83 goes through Bennekom and 86 goes "directly" to Wageningen. The tricky part is that once every other bus of the 86 line says Arnhem instead of Wageningen, while next to it stands an 83 to Wageningen. You can take both, depending on your destiny in Wageningen. 86 makes a tour around Wageningen and 83 goes from Bennekom almost directly to the busstation. On time it shouldn't matter.

A note: at Friday afternoon/evening and Sunday evening/night, these busses are extremely full because of traveling students to their parent's place.

Not that well connected to the outside world

Wageningen is best to be reached by buss or car (besides biking along the river Rhine which is the most scenic way to get there). There is no trainstation here and getting there this way means to get out in "Ede-Wageningen" and take the bus here.

    3 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Not only students use 'em - for day to day travel (up to 5-7 km), leisure trips and enjoying the scenery the (non-motorized!) bike is still our favourite means of transport.
