If you are in honningsvag on Saturday or Sunday (I stayed Saturday night) you will find the tourist information and local museum shut. Out of season your choise of restaurant and bars seems to be limited to the microbwerery next to the post office (although the pizza was fine and the beer excellent) a couple of local 7-11 style shops and a supermarket.
Therefore do all your research before arriving, or ask in your hotel - probably the Rica Bryggan as that seems to be the only one open!
I Have two warnings:
1. You can't trust the weather in any season, It's just luck if you pick a day when the sun shines!
2. Expensive Road fee!
There is no sign that indicates that you have to pay from Alta to Norkap. I can live with that but the amount is very high! You have to pay min 200 NOK one way through the tunnel and when you reach the Norkap they fee you for just visiting! (200 NOK)
I had a little car, and for me it was cheap. Totally 600 NOK....
If you have a caravan you have to pay at least twice as much that I did.
