Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Gdansk

Located in the heart of Gdansk's Old Town, this monumental church is the largest brick church globally. It was founded in 1343 and completed in 1502 under the patronage of the Roman Catholic Church. The architecture boasts a striking 78m tower, Gothic vaults, and a high altar featuring a polyptych from the 1510s.

The church’s interior is characterized by 37 large windows that allow natural light to illuminate the expansive three-nave space. Historically significant as a site of worship and cultural gatherings, it hosts numerous artworks, grave slabs, and a chapel honoring past figures.
