Restaurante Atira-te Ao Rio, Lda. Tips (3)

Atira-te ao Rio: check the view

Throw yourself in the river... that's the name of the restaurant. if you want my honest opinion... i wouldn't really... that's quite a nasty river... but it does make a great view.
This is a Spanish owned restaurant that serves brazilian food. which is good, and the view is really fantastic. It's set on the other side of tagus river, so you have a huge "window" to Lisbon! A very relaxed restaurant. It has a very pleasent esplanade, if you go there during a nice sunny day, or a warm night.

Atira te ao Rio: Great trip to get there

Imagine to take a taxi boat, crossing the river watching the sun going down, then having a very good meal in a restaurant nearly 1 meter away from the water, with one of my favourite views of the city?
The place name's Atira-te ao Rio. It's a nice restaurante located on the sout bank of the river, just in front of Lisboa. Hey, be sure not to miss this - I can bet everybody likes it!!! :)))

Favorite Dish Picanha and Feijoada

Atira te ao Rio: Be sure to make reservations!

Great restaurant with a splendid view on the city. When we arrived there (take the ferry to Cacilhas, turn right after disembarkation and follow the quay for 800 mts) on a sunny sunday afternoon in March, all the empty tables outside had a sign: reserved. Luckily for us the (very friendly) waiter pulled out an extra table. We went for the Chief's Choice - a chicken dish with gamba's - and a magnificent bottle of Vinho Verde (recommended by the waiter and almost the cheapest on the wine list).
After about an hour all the reserved tables were packed, so unexpected visitors had to be disappointed. No use waiting for a table to become available, because everybody - like us - stayed for hours. So if you plan to go there: make reservations! Reservas Telef: 212751380.

Favorite Dish In the weekends they serve special lunches. I forgot what is was on Saturdays but Sundays there is the Chief's Choice on the menu. Great stuff. Same goes for the appetizers. Delicious cheese scones!
