Monastery Savina

Situated on the eastern slopes of Herceg Novi, Monastery Savina is a remarkable medieval Orthodox complex founded in the 13th century by Saint Sava, the Serbian Orthodox Church's founder.

The monastery consists of the Great Church, the older Small Church, and the Temple of Saint Sava. Its 18th-century Church of the Dormition is carved from pink Croatian stone and features a gilded iconostasis. The grounds include a vineyard linked to Savina Winery, selling exquisite wines.
