    Some Fuengirola Restaurants

by eriste Written Jan 19, 2016

During my three weeks stay at Costa del Sol, Fuengirola in Christmas and New Year time 2015/16 I visited several restaurants.
Food was always at lest OK. Only in one place their Gazpacho soup was OK minus (cold soup that even I make better myself) but main course was also OK in there.
Here are few places I find worth mentioned.
    - Ku'Damm , At Marina Puerto Deportivo
It is a German style restaurant.
In their three course meal there is a big selection - 14,95 Euros.
    - Boston Steak Hous , near by Hotel Pyr - P Maritiom rey de Espana 38
    starter 2,95 , main course 12,95
    - Besteak , Calle Lamo de Espinosa, 3 , Soup, main course and Cana(small bier) 19,50
    - Caribbean Mermaid , Local 32, Puerto Deportivo at Marina
In their three course meal there is a big selection - 9,95 Euros. So the price is nice.
    - Casa Castellana , Calle Moncayo 13
It is little bit more expensive so not for budget travellers bread 1,50, soup 6,50 main course 20,50 including Cana(small bier) total 30,30.
Good service extra drink was free.

There were also several other quite good places but these five I found the best ones.

Nuevo Lidia: Homemade food for reeeal good prices!

    by NinaD11 Written Oct 23, 2012

This Bar/Restaurant is very near to the Mijas Aquapark and prices are really good, so is the food.
The best place to eat close to the waterpark without spending to much money.
There is a daily selection of food for less than 5 euros! Homemade food!

Actually for us it is much cheaper having breakfast and lunch there then driving back home for lunch (we work close to it).

Favorite Dish: Pasta with roquefort-spinach sauce, curry chicken with rice, vegetable soup, cuban rice (with bolognese sauce and fried egg), etc...everything is very tasty!

Address: Camino Viejo de Coin, 08, 29651 Mijas costa

Directions: 5 minutes walking from the Aquapark Mijas direction Fuengirola, close to the N340 Malaga-Marbella, almost next door to Fido Tattoo studio

  • Bojangles: Lovely warm welcome from owners and great food

by angelabettington Written Jan 10, 2012

We were given a really warm welcome by the owners and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome and important even though the cafe bar was very busy. The atmosphere is really relaxing and has a lovely sea view. I could have spent all day there. The food is delicious and really reasonably priced - The home made lasagne is to die for !! The cafe bar is extremely clean which along with great food, great prices and a lovely cheery welcome - Bojangles definitely stands out from the crowd

Favorite Dish: Home made lasagne - Delicious and much cheaper than other cafe bars who obviously sell frozen, ready made versions !! Would have been happy to pay twice the price. Also the Combo for 2 is tasty and very good value for money. Fish and chips and home made chicken curry are lovely too - Yes, I ate there on many occasions !!

by PeterVancouver Written Oct 26, 2011

Probably one of the best restaurants along the beach not only for the price, but also for good value and well presented food.

Having visited the town over the past thirty years this could certainl;y be within my top ten restaurants of the area

Favorite Dish: Swordfish. A good size section of fish and presented with a good range of vegitables all of which were perfectly cooked in olive oil.

Les Minous Gaulois.: A very friendly restaurant.

    by Regina1965 Updated Sep 12, 2010

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The restaurant is one of many restaurants lined up by the Paseo Marítimo in Fuengirola. But we got lucky as the food there was excellent (my friend said, and he is very picky with food). He got the pork with salad and chips and a beer for only 7 euros. The portion of food was huge.

The service was excellent, and they made you feel at home. It is run by a very friendly lady, I guess she must be from Belgium? judging from the name of the restaurant, but she spoke many languages fluently and made us feel very welcome.

I only had "zumo de pina" or pineapple juice and it cost 2 euros.

They have some French specialities of the house as well.

    The Yorkshire Rose: Excellent Food

by poppyfav Written May 3, 2008

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

We disvovered this restaurant in the last two weeks of a months holiday in Fuengirola, wish we had found it sooner.

We ate there four times and raved about the food each time. Presentation was good and the food served piping hot (on hot plates,to me a sign of a good restaurant !!!)

Gary, the chef, had been a professional chef for some 30 years and had won numerous awards in England. He had also been chef to Princess Anne for three years. What more can I say !!!

It is a small restaurant and nothing outstanding but sure makes up for this in the quality of the food.

Favorite Dish: Breaded Sole and chips-fresh,crispy and served hot.

Sunday lunch special of Roast Beef and a good selection of vegetables served separately.

    Address: "Fish Alley" Fuengirola

Directions: Right at the start of "Fish Alley" just behind Hotel Puerto opposite the port.
