Granada by night

Favorite thing We arrived in the Albaycin area where we had read that there was an excellent view of the Alhambra, and it was true. But also we had this fantasic view of the city of Granada itself just after nightfall. Even without the view of the Alhambra the trek up here would have been worth it.

Favorite thing In this photo , taken from the Tower of the Alcazar, you will have beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It wasn't the clearest of days, but you get the idea of how beautiful the views are from here.

Pink Sunsets

Favorite thing In Segovia the sunset is orange, but here in Granada the sunset is pink like in Tuscany Italia. I love it. It casts a pink glow on everything before the sun goes down.

This photo was taken from inside the Alhambra complex looking out at the Albaicin and surrounding mountains.

Granada has a lot to offer

Favorite thing of course the Alhambra is the magnet for the City of Granada, no doubt about that. but the City has also esquisite restaurants, pubs and wonderful accommodation.
and there are wonderful excursions to be had around Granada, south on the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, the white ancient Villages Las Alpujarras, lush farmland, snowy peaks.
the National Park of the Sierra Nevada over 2000m high, the highes ski slopes in Europe....nearly all year round ski fun

Fondest memory driving along the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Olivegroves and Sunflower fields
