The Museo de Málaga, opened in December 2016, is a significant cultural institution in Málaga's neoclassical Palacio de Aduana.

It formed in 1973 to merge Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes (1913) and Museo Arqueológico Provincial (1947). This museum, housing over 17,000 pieces in total, is the largest in Andalusia and the fifth largest in Spain. It features a fine arts collection from the 19th century and a notable archaeological section, including Roman artifacts.
