Italian Renaissance and Classicism styles are found in Toledo's town hall from 1575. Construction was finished in the 1703 which gave the tower its early baroque style. Its nine arches in the front give it a majestic appearance.

Ayuntamiento de Toledo or City Hal of Toledo is situated in front of the main portal of Toledo Cathedral. Its construction began in 1575 according to design by Juan Herrera. Jorge Manuel Theotocópulos completed the upper floors. Construction was accomplished only in XVII century. You will find Oficina de Turismo or Tourist Office at ground floor of City Hall. You will be able to get free tourist map of Toledo there as well as a lot of useful and updated tips on Toledo.
Toledo is surrounded by massive fortifications that have survived in good shape to this day. Besides gates Cambron and Alcantara mensioned above, there are impressive gates Del Sol and Bisagra, as well as many towers.
The Ayuntamiento, or town hall, is to be found in, yes, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where the west front of the Cathedral can also be found. The Ayuntamiento was completed in 1618, and is the work of several architects, amongst whom is J M Theotocopouli - El Greco's son, who also did some work on the cathedral.
The townhall is located very close to the Cathedral. This beautiful building dates back to late 16th century. There is a tourist information center in the basement of the townhall.
Situated at the focal point of Toledo, opposite la Catedral, the Ayuntamiento of Toledo is a beautiful twin towered medieval building.
