Fondest memory: While having an outdoor lunch at one of the picnic areas at Skansen we made a new friend. Something tells me he really only liked us for our food though :/ He was pretty tame and quite happy eating out of the hand of a girl at the next table. Its not often you see red squirrels here in the UK anymore so its nice to see they are still around in Sweden!
If you want to visit both Skansen Open Air Museum AND the Biology Museum, then your entrance to the Biology Museum is included with the entrance of your Skansen ticket. HOWEVER, you MUST visit the Biology Museum FIRST!
Inside the Biology Museum (located next to Skansen in the Royal Garden), there are different collections of stuffed wildlife--higharctic wildlife and Swedish wildlife. Perhaps most interesting is the building itself, because it looks more like a Norwegian church than a museum.
Museum is open from 10 AM - 3 PM April-September.
A moose that we found at Skansen!
I was so happy to see a moose...they are MUCH bigger than I expecte!! :) If you have never seen a real moose make sure you see this one...he is really beautiful, and he makes the cutest noises! ;) We had to wait a few minutes for him to come out of his hut but it was worth the wait.
Skansen are... gorna lund,the aquarium.

Favorite thing: Here's one of the nice cobblestone streets in Skansen... Skansen is a great way to spend some time while in Stockholm...there is so much to see and so many great photo opportunities... :)
Favorite thing: A cute little Goeldis Monkey we came across at Skansen. :) I had never seen such a small monkey before in my life...I just wanted to take him home with us... :)
Here's a reindeer we came across at Skansen.
Beware - the reindeer section was very smelly but I just had to get a photo of a real reindeer! ;)
He's kind of cute...even though he REALLY stunk...
