Founded in 1930, Café de Paris was the first to offer the concept of an entrecôte restaurant, only steak with sauce and salad! The recipe of the delicious sauce has been kept a secret to this day, but the success of the restaurant prompted others to copy the concept and offer their own version of the sauce (see previous restaurant tip). Why not try both and be the judge as to which entrecôte is better!
They only have one dish: the entrecote served with Cafe de Paris (buttery herb sauce) served in the middle for everyone on a hot dish, french fries and salad. It's simple, it's delicious, it's defintiely worht trying if you never have. The place is a small simple brasserie, with wooden tables, benches, and chairs, and mirrors on every wall. The service is fast.
During the week, come early (no later than noon) or late (after 1pm) if you don't want to wait. It's always packed.
The fixed price is of 38 Swiss Francs per person and does not include drinks.
