This is a main state treasury. The stone griffins made by italian sculpturer Elio Sala guard towers of this building. You will not be allowed to enter, so must be content with trying to find all the lions' heads on the building's facade. Here is a clue: there r 50.
One information book indicated that this building was said to be one of the cities most beautiful buildings. It was erected in the early 1900’s. Honestly, I probably would not have really noticed it, but the apartment I stayed at was located directly across the street. I was able to shoot this photo from my bedroom window.
