Private Walking Tour - Architectural Masterpieces of Pechersk District
"Meet your guide at the exit of Arsenalna metro station near the cannon monument and take a 3-hour walking tour through the most impressive quarter of Kiev. The Pechersk district also called Lipki is a place where aristocracy has always lived. No wonder that the architectural ensemble of this area is a real feast to the eyes. Your guide will show you an elegant building of Mariyinsky Palace surrounded by a charming Mariyinsky Park. This stunning palace was built in 1752 in the Baroque style by the famous architect B. Rastrelli. There is a beautiful fountain in the middle of the park. Moreover just a few steps from it you will find an observation deck and admire the Dnieper River and the left bank of Kiev. Our next stop will be at the striking building of the National Bank of Ukraine which façade is decorated with stucco. Not far from there is another must-see attraction – the Chocolate House. This nice mansion once belonged to a rich merchant

The National Bank of Ukraine stood out to me as being one of the most beautiful buildings in Kyiv. The bank was opened in 1839 but was later expanded.
