Circus Tips (2)

Octaves restaurant / jazz bar: Another closure notification.

Whilst grouping and researching tips, I discovered the following on the website of what was formerly Octaves restaurant / jazz bar in Endell Street, Covent Garden.

"Octave Jazz Bar & Restaurant in Covent Garden opened its doors for the final time on Saturday 11th July 2009.

However this isn’t the last you heard of Octave - The management are currently looking for larger premises and hope to re-open the in the very near future."

You may want to check the website for updates, here it is.

I submit this to avoid people making unecessary trips.

Octaves: Live Jazz whilst you eat in Covent Garden

This is a relatively new venue which I recently enjoyed with a group of girlfriends. It offers a mellow, moodily lit environment, with a huge selection of cocktails, nicely prepared, simple food and live Jazz from Thursday through to weekend.

It was a relaxed and easy environment with attentive but not overbearing waiters. I'd say great for a smoochy date ;-)
