I have gone to Southwark Cathedral Cafe on a Sunday morning back in the summer with a friend prior of an event that it was taken place nearby.
When we have arrived were very few people having breakfast which most of them they were parishioners waiting for the service to begin even the priest was among them having a cup of tea.
The displaying serving area in the cafe it was not ready yet as we have gone as soon as it has opened but that it didn’t put us off ordering a traditional full English breakfast. The breakfast it was good but it could have helped if their plates were hot and not cold.
The staff were friendly and helpful and I have found the place very calm and relaxing but I don’t know if that it was because we was in the Cathedral.
During the day they do serve sandwiches, pies, quiches and afternoon cakes.
There it's also a seating area in the courtyard which it will be nice area to be weather permitted.

Well well well... Here's another cafe in a church. I got to know this place only because my husband Nir got to work there for a while. It's a nice cafe, with buffet food, typical British; like potatoes, peas and such. It's a regular lunch place for the offices around.
Nothing extremely special but if it's on your way, if you want to visit the church or the gift shop, take a look and see if you like. Just pleasant regular food.
Favorite Dish They do have great soups in the winter and tasty desserts. You can also find pastries in the morning, sandwiches & salads through the day, pastas, noodles and veggies lunchtime.
