Peak District Guided Hill and Moorland Walk
"A full day private guided hill and moorland walk in the Peak District for a group of between one and six people. You will meet your guide at 9:30am in the Pool Cafe in Hathersage for a cup of coffee or tea (included in the price) to discuss the day and to c outdoor clothing. Walk options will include:Stanage and Bamford Edges Walk up the hillside and onto two of the stunning gritstone edges that the Dark Peak area is famous for. If it is a clear day you will enjoy amazing views from the rocks of the Derwent Valley and hills beyond in one direction and miles of beautiful heather covered moorland in the other direction. The walk is about 12 miles (19 kilometres) with about 550 metres of ascent on paths that can be rough and stony in places. Burbage Edge and The Longshaw Estate Walk up the hi then along Burbage Edge with lovely views across the Burbage Basin. You will then walk through the traditional English parkland of The Longshaw Estate before descending through woodland to follow a pretty low level path along the bottom of the Derwent Valley back to Hathersage.
