Marina Tips (3)

The Marina

What was up until just a few years ago closed off to the public except to dine at the now defunct Bix has now, with the (tasteful) redevelopment of the Gordon Swimming Pool, opened itself up completely. You can now wander alongside moored yachts, out along the pier and the sea wall. Or simply sit on the benches one level higher on the new wooden promenade surrounding Gordon. Or have a drink (and eat) and watch the sunset.

Scuba diving

I went diving with this company and it was great. I did two boat dives. The first one was to a large shipwreck with lots of fish and the second one to a nice shallow reef. I really enjoyed the personal service and the fact that they are very flexible with when you want to dive. They will take you out whenever it is comfortable for you. Because I had so much fun diving with them and had a bit of free time I also got my rescue certification (they have courses at all levels). The instructor of the course was awesome and I really learned a lot and had a lot of fun.
