Not for the faint hearted.
It's a steep path up from the back of town up to the hill top.
Views from the top are great.
Actual castle doesn't consist of much,just a small curtain wall ,tower and a cistern.
Various other defensive points scattered around and some small caves.
Last major event which happened here was the quashing of a revolt by some Armenian bandits in June 1915 and who were using the castle as shelter.
The origins of the castle are unclear.
If you want to climb the tower you can but the stairs are narrow and there is no handrail as my picture shows.
