This mosque, built by Süleyman the Magnificent between 1543 and 1548, stands as a tribute to his deceased son Mehmet, who succumbed to smallpox. It's the first mosque designed by renowned architect Mimar Sinan.
The mosque's square shape is complemented by a lovely garden setting, featuring two double-balconied minarets and intricate exterior decorations. Inside, the central dome is upheld by four semidomes, creating a unique architectural harmony.
