Chapters: Books of the northland -- and more

"Chapters" is a big Canadian book chain somewhat comparable to Barnes and Nobles. They have a good selection of Canadian literature and history - which made this a "must see" on my recent trip to Vancouver. I went to the big store at 788 Robson Street - where I found the latest works of my favorite Canadian authors, including Douglas Coupland, Alice Munro and the late Pierre Berton.

    Chapters: Shopping in Vancouver

This is a book department store on Granville street close to Broadwy. There is even a Starbucks so you can enjoy an overpriced cup of hot brown water!

What to buy: Water street offers the typical tourist shops where you can buy anything from a Haida Totem pole to a smoked salmon.
