Great Canadian Casino: Play the slots and tables

by suziezed Updated Apr 4, 2011

This small (compared to Reno, Vegas or anywhere else) casino is a short, free shuttle ride from downtown Victoria. It also differs from most other casinos elsewhere in the world because smoking is not allowed inside and no alcohol is served. In fact you'll pay outrageous prices for a coffee or pop!

They recently (April 2004) got in a couple of hundred new nickel machines and all the slot machines you may have seen in Nevada are now here. People seem to enjoy the restaurant on the premises as well.

Dress Code: Not really any dress restrictions but you'll probably be asked to check any bulky coats or backpacks at the door. Checking of items is free.

    Address: 1708 Old Island Highway

Directions: take the highway north past Victoria General Hospital and turn off where it says Colwood, the Casino is about a mile further up on the right (past the Six Mile Pub but before the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre)
