    Woodbine Racetrack

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Hmmmm I haven't decided what to say about Woodbine Race Track.

It is very large and from the crowds... betting on a racing horse is a big deal!

I wish I knew more about how to bet.

There are slot machines here and lovely decor... but you'll have to fight the senior citizens for a machine!

    Address: Rexdale

Directions: Take the 37A bus from Islington Station on the Bloor subway.

A bit of a long haul but not too hard.

    Toronto Races

    by roger-ramjet Written Jul 15, 2004

Now I am a little biased when it comes to the Horse racing at Woodbin in Toronto as this is where I won a weeks trip to Trinidad and Tobago. But if you want a cheep day out or a expensive one if you loose the races is a good day out. The Major race of the year the Queens Plate is usually the last weekend in June and this year 2004 it is on the 27th. You can get nice and close to the action it's free to get in and you can get there for $2.25 using public transport.
