La Fonda de Sto. Domingo Tips (2)

La Fonda de Sto. Domingo: Exquisite food!

This is very good restaurant because it has a very big menu so you can try a lot of options in local food. The place is decorated in mexican style, charming and cozy. But the food here is very well served and cooked with excellent taste.

Favorite Dish I can tell that my favorite dish here is "enchiladas de coloradito", but i tried too the "tlayuda" a big tortilla with cheese, avocado, chilli and grasshoppers. The "tamales" are very good too. You must drink the "agua de horchata" it is made with rice.

La Fonda de Sto. Domingo: nice place to spend siesta time

Located near Santo Domingo. I had a simple lunch - quesadilla with flor de calabza and chilaquiles armarillo with pork. The flowers were so fresh, almost grassy - the oaxacan cheese was smooth and buttery - really delicious. The chilaquilles were simple and good. I can still remember sitting in in this restaurant - the bells at Santo Domingo ringing, occasionally someone walking by - I became very aware that it was siesta time
