Joe's Oyster Bar Tips (3)

Joe's Oyster Bar: a good and a bad experience

Joe's oyster bar was the last night club i visited, and i think it was the best of the three, the music is at a perfect volume, it doesn't matter if you want to dance or chat, so everyone will be happy despite their interests, another big advantage is that there is not cover for entering, i really liked that, the place has a seaview and the breeze is quite nice during the hot Mazatlán nights, during the afternoon it is also a restaurant, i did not ate here but it looked tasty, you may give it a try.
For drinking you may have the typical six beers bucket they sell everywhere, but you will also find a big coktails variety you will hardly find somewhere else. This variety goes from the cheap Clamato (around $30 pesos) to the most expensive tequila and i am sure you'll find something you like, the night i was there was terrific.
Why was it also a bad experience?
Our last night in Mazatlán we decide to go back there, but a friend forgot his IFE credential (in Mexico this document certifies you are an adult), as Joe's oyster bar is one of the few places that demands you are over 18 to let you in he was forced to stay out and we stayed with him, I'm perfectly ok with this, the problem is that while we were trying to convince the guard to let him in a foreigner wich obviously wasn't 18 was allowed in, we were so mad we left.
So remember if you are mexican do not forget your IFE credential, if you are a foreigner don't worry, as you pay in dollars you won't have any trouble skiping the rules.
Ignoring this bad experience the place was really great, worth giving it a try

Joe's Oyster Bar: Joe's Oyster Bar

Joe's Oyster Bar

Joe's Oyster Bar is Mazatlan's most famous beach front drink emporium. Play volleyball at it's sand courts, during the day. Then at night enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in Mexico with a cold cerveza. Modern pop/Rock characterizes this place. Always a good time!

Joe's Oyster Bar: The best nightlife in Mazatlan!

If you want to be at the "it" spot, Joes is with out a doubt the place to go. The best time to arrive is around 10-10:30pm. On week-nights there isn't a cover, but on Friday-Sunday it's $5. Included in the cover is a ticket for either 2 beers or 1 mixed drink. There is always music playing, you can expect to hear anything from rap to 80's rock at Joe's. Some of my best nights in Mazatlan were spent here! If you'r in Mazatlan you can't leave without spending at least one night partying at Joe's Oyster Bar!

Dress Code Laid Back, I'm pretty sure almost anything goes.
