A really fun place to visit if you're a history buff. To see the history behind it visit the following link:
The place is pretty impressive with it's size and construction of stone, and for it's view out into the Gulf itself. The kids got plenty of exercise climbing the long stairs up and down to the various levels and peering over walls and into cannons, etc. It's worth the drive out to see it, especially if you have an interest in American History, like we do.

Our condo in the background (the 3-story one). It was a windy day. Good day to fly a kite. From left, Sam, Me, Barbara.
This was a sporting kite, so of course I had to dive bomb the seagulls and pelicans. It livened up their day :) I don't need to hear from the PETA folks :)
There's just about anything you would like to do here. Some of our group play golf, some shop, some go to a spa. We eat, socialize, and just generally have a great time.
We ususally stay within walking distance of a joint called Flora-Bama. Now if you've never been here, you are in for a colorful treat.
Doesn't this pool look inviting?
In our 3 br condo from left to right Sam, Ann, me, Barbara, Dave, and Linda. (Notice Linda seems to always be with another guy :-)
