Riverwalk Stadium Tips (1)

See a Baseball Game

In Montgomery, you can find Riverwalk Stadium, home of the Montgomery Biscuits, the AA Minor League (roughly equivalent to a European 3rd League) affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. We thought it would be a worthwhile diversion, so a group of us went out to see the Biscuits play the Mobile Baybears (the AA affiliate of the San Diego Padres). All of the seats ($11 for "super box" seats, $9 for box seats) were sold out, so we purchased "lawn seating" tickets ($7), giving us the right to sit in the grass along the right field line. The game itself was a pitchers' duel, remaining scoreless through the 8th Inning. The person who drove us was getting tired, so the group who rode with her decided to go home. As it turned out, we heard news it was still a scoreless tie into the 13th Inning (baseball games normally go 9 innings, but tie games are extended into extra innings until somebody wins). We never did find out who won.
