Cerritos Things to Do
OK, it's not the most touristy thing to do but make an exception with this library, here in education-savvy Cerritos. The city prides itself in the importance of learning. This public library offers a great place for students young and older to eread and explore...blah..blah...blah- what's more is that the library is just a feast for the eyes. When...more
Cerritos is like no other smaller community of greater L.A. It is physically distinguishable with its rocky man-made waterfalls, some off the 91 fwy but most off the town streets especially in the city centre. There are many to count. If I have enough time on my hands, I'll actually get an exact count- but don't hold your breath on this!more

This was probably one of the best diner type of restaurants I've been to since I can remember. They hire senior level chefs which make a huge difference in the quality of food that comes out of the kitchen. The waitress was very polite and made sure we were served in a timely fashion. The Kentucky Bourbon Steak on top of mashed potatoes.Chocolate...more
Definitely better than Denny's, but not as good as Coco's.I recently found out that both Carrow's and Coco's are owned by the same company. They're food is decent. But after ordering one of their steak plates, I had to send it back because it was like a piece of rubber; totally overcooked.I guess it comes down to the kind of chef they have behind...more
This is probably the biggest chain of Filipino restaurants. They are both here and in the Philippines. Goldilocks is known for its bakery, but it is also a restaurant. This is a pretty nice place and the food is not bad. Actually i think there are plenty of better Filipino restaurants in the area, but this place is always packed. The one thing i...more
Salo Salo Grill is a nice Filipino Restaurant with good food. Its a sit down style and not the turo turo restaurants that populate the area. The servings here are family style, which means they are pretty big. I think all the dishes here are pretty good. What i like most here is the Filipino breakfast. They have a combo breakfast which includes...more

With this you get BBQ beef skewers, shrimp fried rice, with a peanut butter sauce and a small cucumber salad. This is everyones favorite here, although everything else...more
Cerritos Performing Arts Center: Take a Date at the Performing Arts
Inside the theater is wonderfully designed. There is a romantic fireplace in the lobby. The Colors of Christmas is an annual favorite show which I adore and is sure to sell out each year. This concert features 4 popular American contemporary singers, singing their own songs plus some classic Christmas tunes.
Check out events calendar on webpage!
Dress Code: A semi-formal attire is recommended but not required as southern Californians generally are very casual in dress! Even at church!

OK, Cerritos is so small that it really doesn't have a downtown but the waterfalls by the Cerritos Towne Center and the civic center area is really pretty and I love to visit there area for a nice pleasurable walk. When I'm away from Cerritos, I do miss the overall tranquil feeling that the city offers. This is not to say that no disturbing things...more
