Miguel's Cocina Tips (4)

Miguel's Cocina: Local favorite!

We tried to eat here, but they were very busy. Very popular place and the wonderful aroma was wonderful coming from the place. Its tucked away in the courtyard of the historic El Cordova Hotel and across the street from the Del.

Miguel's Cocina: My Favorite for Mexican!

This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in Coronado. It is a wonderful place to get out of the hot sun and sit in the covered patio dining area. The food is good and priced modestly.

The dress code is casual, so if you've built up a hunger after catching the waves at the beach, just slip something on over your suit and relax.

Miguel's is located across the street from the Hotel Del in a charming, small complex next to the El Cordova Hotel. You have to go through the arch to get to the restaurant. It is just a couple of blocks from the beach--depending on which part of the beach you've settled.

Everytime I've been here the atmosphere is festive and the service is attentive. Keep in mind that it is a popular place so expect to wait for a table during lunch and dinner hours.

Favorite Dish I haven't tried all the food here, but friends and family who order other items than I have, like the flavors and quality very much. The portions are generous, like most Mexican restaurants.

My favorite dish here is Chicken Fajitas served with rice and beans. Of course, if it counts, the Margaritas are very good too!

Miguel's Cocina: The local favorite for authentic Mexican food

Favorite Dish I've had the Jumbo Shrimp Burrito (sautéed jumbo Mexican shrimp and salsa fresca wrapped in a flour tortilla, topped with jalapeño white sauce, cheese and avocado slices and served with rice, beans), the Fish Taco (two tacos filled with batter-fried white fish, cabbage, salsa fresca and special sauce and served with rice & beans) and the Carne Asada Torta (marinated top sirloin charbroiled and served on a torta roll with rice & beans).

Miguel's Cocina: Good Mexican food in Coronado

This place is very fun to meet up with friends and have a lunch or dinner or just a margarita. The Margaritas are great as is the white sause for the chips. You must try the white sause, it's a cult favorite in Coronado.

Favorite Dish I love the Quesadilla Suprema. You really couldn't ask for more!
