Horton Plaza: Best Downtown Shopping Spot

Horton Plaza is a mall in the heart of San Diego which is a favorite of locals and tourists alike. It is an interesting place to visit even if you aren't interested in shopping. Horton Plaza has seven levels and covers more than six city blocks with 172 shops and restaurants. You cann find virtually any necessity here and lots of luxuries, plus souvenirs. You might even catch a little sidewalk entertainment.

Karen bought a bright red "San Diego" shirt, and we also found a few postcards and a refrigerator magnet which I added to my collection. We also enjoyed a snack here. Serious shoppers could easily spend the entire day here.

Horton Plaza is a stop on the San Diego Trolly Tour.

Shopping in San Diego

San Diego has a lot of great shopping, but perhaps the best shopping mall is right downtown at Horton Plaza. This plaza makes shopping fun with it's modern Sante Fe Deco and it's 3 level of shopping walkways.

What to buy Every shop you could ever imagine is at this plaza. There is also an abundance of restaurants with just your taste in mind.
