Café Sole Tips (3)

Café Sole: Provence meets Key West, deliciously!

Cafe Sole is a hidden gem in the heart of Key West. It exists quite far from the 'beaten path' in a traditional little Key West house. The atmosphere is cozy, charming and a touch eclectic. You walk in to a little bar area surrounded by loads of wine. You will sit, however, in a patio type atmosphere so it can get rather toasty out there. It's worth it though. Service is very near exceptional. Wine list is vast. The food is deeeeeelicious....

Key West is ultra casual most everywhere, including here. But I would suggest to wear something a bit nicer for dinner at Cafe Sole. You'll understand why once you're there... this isn't your typical fried clams and conch fritters joint.

Favorite Dish My favorite dish at Cafe Sole is the Fruit of The Sea- a melange of fresh local shrimp, scallops & calamari tossed with garlic and served over angel hair pasta with three sauces- pesto, roasted red pepper and a cream sauce. $25 -

Everyone swears by this appetizer every time we go... Dates stuffed with garlic and wrapped in smoked country style bacon served with a peppery honey demi-glaze. $9 -

Café Sole: Wonderful dining

Provencé style food, nice ambiance with an interesting menu. This restaurant has won a number of awards for appetizers and entrees.
It was real busy when we went so I recommend reservatios.

Favorite Dish Hog Snapper, I don't know just how the fish was cooked but it sure is the best fish I've ever eaten.

Café Sole: French/Key West gourmet crossover

Fish, sea food and more. Cute, intimate romantic restaurant. Specialize in fish with a french twist! Gourmet like food with good wine list. We didn´t book a table but you should, we where lucky to get one. The service was a bit stressed but the house was full and the waiter knew his job. This is a place you must visit if ou stay in Key West!

Favorite Dish We had the award winning fish dish but I forgot the name of it.. Also had a nother fish dish with red pepper sauce and almonds, great! Since we stayed at Ambrosia II and they recommended the place for us we had a complementary bottle of wine (very good one a chardonnay) if we ordered two entreés, which we did!
Also good desserts. Prices was between 25-30 usd/entreés
Go there but be sure to book a table cause it seems very popular..
