Well, i mean if you go you might as well see this. It is a pretty house, but its just that, a house!
The guide person did say that it is the only house on the island with a basement due to Key West being solid rock underneath. Little bit of info for ya!
What Key West page will be complete without mentioning Sloppy Joe's. I will just do it int the tourist trap section. They are still raking in the bucks on the coat tails of Hemingway. But it is still a good watering hole. Around the corner from here there is a place that claims to be the "ORIGINAL SLOPPY JOE" Ayyiii.
If you're lucky, you'll catch a wet T-Shirt contest. Ladies, be ready, it is open to amateurs. But beware, I think some ringers sneak in now and then. You know what I mean. No amateur can look that good.
Unique Suggestions It is still a good stop, albeit, crowded.
Touring the Hemingway house . . . I don't want to make any Kew Westerner's mad, but it just isn't worth it to me . . . Why not visit Hemingway's local hang out instead, Captain Tony's Saloon, and raise your glass in a toast to Hemingway . . . If you are going to see the cats, just look around, you will find one!
