Key Biscayne, Miami
Our tour of the beaches in Miami continued with a trip over to Key Biscayne to visit Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. The park is the home of a historic lighthouse built in 1825 and reconstructed in 1846, and is the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County. It's also home to the #7 ranked beach in America. Please note that there is a $10 fee to enter the park.

I found Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation Park on Key Biscayne provided a quiet respite from the bustle and pretentious atmostphere of South Beach. Unlike South Beach, Key Biscayne was calm, peaceful and relatively secluded. There is a bike path that runs along the beach and a facility where you can rent bikes as well as beach chairs and umbrellas.
This island has the Seaquarium, park, exclusive residential developments, as well as incomparable views of the city.
