  • Premier Parking Lots Atlanta GA

by IHATEPREMIERPARKING Updated Dec 4, 2010

Favorite thing: WHATEVER you do DO NOT park at a "Premier Parking" lot in Atlanta, GA -- they are ONLY Designated with a the letter "P"! Their parking fee machines don't work and when YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PAY your car will be booted and then you'll have to pay a $75 "FINE". NEVER TRUST "PREMIER PARKING IN ATLANTA, GA OR THE BIG "P"!

    Strange yet interesting sculptures

    by littlesam1 Written Jul 7, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: If you read through my various VT pages you will see that I am fascinated by street art. I have collected pictures of strange and unusual street art from my travels in the US and throughout Europe. Atlanta has many examples of street art. This example pictured here is one of the more unusual. Its not exactly what I would call attractive, yet each time I have seen this sculpture it has caught my imagination and I have taken way too many pictures of it. It looks like some kind of alien plant root or something with green leaf life creations on its top and strange root like fingers below. It is located just behind the Peachtree Westin Plaze Hotel (thats the tall round hotel which dominates the Atlanta skyline) and just before you reach Centennial Olympic Park. The area is a little on the sketchy side being shadowed by the sky scrapers and having some street people asking for money in the area. But I am drawn to it each time I go to Atlanta. It always surprises me what catches my attention in various cities.

    Land of parks and trees

    by cvilla007 Written Jun 29, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: I never realized how much greenery was in Atlanta until I left it. Atlanta is a land of trees, of parks stretching many city blocks, of so much green that from the air you wouldn't think Atlanta was even a city if it weren't for the skyscrapers and highways.

Fondest memory: Visiting the parks in Atlanta is certainly well worth it. The most famous park is Piedmont Park. It's in Midtown. There's a big lake and lots of places for walking the dog or riding your bike. There are many festivals that take place year-round in Piedmont Park. The other famous park is the newer Olympic park, which boasts some impressive statues and fountains. Olympic Park is convenient to downtown, near CNN Center and some of the tourist sites. Check out the parks when you visit the city of trees.
