Captain Bean's Dinner (aka 'Booze') Cruise

Spend two hours on a boat cruising the seas just offshore of Kona, eating traditional Hawaiian food and drinking as many Mai Tais as you can down while the band plays the theme song from 'Hawaii Five-Oh', for the all-inclusive price of about $50. The drinks are kind of weak, but a quiet word to your server will ensure additional rum is mixed in.

The servers - such as the fabulous Keauhi in the photo - also double as the entertainment, with a certain amount of audience participation... be warned. Drink too much and you're liable to be pulled out of your seat onto the stage, and handed a pair of pom-poms.

A decent night out, the only downside being it starts and finishes early - you're back on the pier by 7.30pm.

Dress Code Whatever you like, although wearing shorts will make you look less stupid when they dress you up in a hula skirt
