  • Thomas Edison Inn: Not Your Average Restaurant

    by J.Dorland Written Feb 9, 2009

This is an older, well kept, higher end restaurant in the Thomas Edison motel located under the Bluewater Bridge. This is not a cheap place to eat but the food makes it well worth the extra money. The service is excellent and the atmosphere great.

Favorite Dish: Filet mignon or the surf and turf are favourites. The food is perfect and the waiting staff very attentive. I would highly recommend this eatery for those special occasions.

Address: Located under the Bluewater Bridge.

    Directions: Under the Bridge

  • Cheap Charlies: Best Pizza

    by J.Dorland Written Feb 9, 2009

Cheap Charlie's is located at 3990 24th Ave on the north end of Port Huron ( the area is called Fort Gratiot) They have the best pizza I've ever had. The place is busy, clean and the staff is friendly and fast. The pizza is great and they server other foods as well.

Favorite Dish: My favourite pizza is the "Evreything But The Kitchen Sink". Lots of good stuff and hot peppers to boot.

Address: 3990 24th Ave. Fort Gratiot

Directions: On the "strip" north of town.

    Coffee and books

by Toughluck Written Dec 20, 2006

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

It's like visiting a library and have meal service at your seat. Pleasant setting. Two floors, lots of books, posters, and knik-knaks.

Favorite Dish: Fancy sandwiches and drinks. It's not the usual type of place I eat in.

Address: 952 Military Road (2nd St?)

Directions: It's two blocks south of the bridge over the Black River. It's the bridge that opens.

    River Crab: River Crab

by greencard Written Oct 5, 2002

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The restaurant is very nice. It feels fancy enough to have a serious business dinner, but it also has a relaxed atmosphere so you feel comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt.

Favorite Dish: I love anything seafood. The salmon is really good.

Directions: River Crab is located right over the river. It would be difficult to find a seat in the house from which you *can't* see the river. It is actually located between Marysville and St. Claire, so it's a
