Stratosphere, Las Vegas
the variety of amazing buildings along the Strip.
the city by night, billions of twinkling lights.
Fondest memory: it nice to have been there, but everything is so artificial and focused on gambling.... wouldn't say I miss that....
Go up the Stratosphere and take both rides.
Go to the Sahara and take the Speed Ride.
Go to the NY NY and ride the roller coaster.
Go to Ellis Island Brew Pub for Happy Hour ($1.50)
Have a Loooong hot dog at Westward Ho Casino.
Spend a whole night downtown on Fremont Street.
Fondest memory: (cont.) Drive to Hoover Dam (45 minutes).
Drive thru Red Rock Canyon and stop at Bonnie Springs.
Drive up to Mt. Charleston (except in Winter).
Eat the 'special' at Terribles.
Order the 'Gamblers Special' at Hard Rock Casino.
Have a Krispie Kreme Doughnut at New York NY Casino.
Ride the roller coaster at the top of the Stratisphere Hotel Casino, Visit the 'Star Trek Experience' at the Hilton Hotel, Watch the pirates blast one another at the 'outside show' at the Treasure Island.
Fondest memory: Getting Married at the Tropicana Hotel Wedding Chapel. Those folks were great!!!!
Go up the Stratosphere the 109th floor and the view from there is absolutely stunning. There is a ride on top there like a rollercoaster (not exactly) but i didnt have the courage to go on it...looked scary. but u should go there atleast to enjoy the view.
Fondest memory: The Strip, just walk over there and move from casino to casino looking and taking pictures. The treasure Island show was just too good, they did it so well...takes place every 1 hr roughly.
Go on the roller coaster on top of the Stratosphere.
Go for a drive (in a convertible, if possible) in the desert.
Cruise The Strip at night in a car (again, try to have convertible).
Eat at one of the massive buffets.
Fondest memory: Getting married to my husband at the Candlelight Chapel on The Strip. It will be 5 years on 8/29/02.
Do the rides at the top of the Stratosphere! The World's highest roller coaster and the negative 'G' needle. Do the roller coaster first or it is anticlimatic. The photo is of me on top of the new Clark County Detention Center (County Jail) with the Stratosphere behind me. We are one of the subcontractors working on it and I paid a site visit.
Fondest memory: Winning $1200.00 on a slot machine during my bachelor party!
Take a ride to the top of the Stratosphere and check out
the excellent view of the entire city! Wow~
Fondest memory: Thanks, Ron for putting up with us, and putting us up!
Your hospitality is warm- and your jacuzzi's not bad
either! Way to go, Compressor-Man! See you real soon!
Say 'hi' to Patricia for us, okay? Hey, next time you
and Rick oughta skip the simulated Nascar races...both
of you were green in the faces~ hehee.
Another great thing to do is do the ride atop the Stratosphere on the ride 'The Hot Shot'. It is one of those 'Rocket' type things that shoot you way up in the air in a split second, and then you fall down. But it all happens over a thousand feet in the air above the strip! Yeaaah!!!
Here is a picture I found of it... it's not me, but it gives you an idea of how it feels!
Favorite thing: Go to the Stratosphere tower and get on top to try the Big Shot. We tried it in the afternoon and it was an amazing view of the city from the top.
