Great bbq on the upper west side.

This tip is a "marker" for me for my next trip. She's rarely if ever wrong.
Favorite Dish Wings with wango-tango sauce, Ribs, greens and salt pototoes.
Also chili on the half-shell.
Not to mention the sensitive and succulent "BIG ASS PORK PLATE"
Pecan Sweet Potato Pie for desert.

The restaurant is large and simple and the atmosphere is very casual. It is about 2 blocks from the Henry Hudson river and Riverside Park. The customer service is very good, warm and friendly. They do have live music on weekends at night. It is mainly blues, jazz, old soul, and alternative rock that has that late 60's-70's sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8QQx1kIL0g- one of the bands that play there. The food is great. You will be wanting to know the recipe so that you can make it at home. Its not good if you live too close to the place because you will probably always eat here.
Favorite Dish BBQ Ribs are finger licking good. The meat is tender, juicy, easy to cut, not to spicy a flavor. The portions are huge. You will not be able to finish in 2 settings.
We finally made it to Dinosaur BBQ, we've been meaning to go for a long time. Its up in Harlem so we rode our motorcycle and were able to park right in front. They serve over twenty different kinds of beer and the menu is straightforward bbq. Even though when you walk in it seems like you'll wait forever but the wait really wasn't too bad at all. We were able to make reservations on opentable and they actually sat us before the res time.
Favorite Dish They have this great sampler appetizer dish for two that has boiled shrimp, bbq chicken wings, and fried green tomatoes. It was my first time trying them and they were delicious! Then we shared the big ass pork plate and ribs. They were some of the best ribs I've had in a long time, the sauce was great, it had a unique flavor.
Good traditional barbecue dishes like ribs, chicken, even catfish served with sides like mac&cheese, colard greens, bbq beans, cajun corn.
The decor of the restaurant tends to be very biker-ish without the 'rough' side.
There is also a whole range of beers, ales and even a few ciders on tap or by the bottle.
Favorite Dish the two meat combo - bbq chicken and ribs
sides - mac&cheese and bbq beans
drink - mikes hard lemonade
We went around 9:30 pm and the place was still rocking. It was full and packed with people, although oddly enough, the surrounding area was very quite. The location is a bit hidden and tricky to find, because even though the street number is 131, it is only a block away from the 125th St. The decor of the restaurant is definitely far more chic than the original restaurant in Syracuse (which I happened to go to college there). After 9/10 pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, they have a free live band playing in the bar area, which is located in the front part of the restaurant. A word of advice, better have a reservation, especially when you go there on the weekend because it is always packed. The waiting time can be up to 2 hours if you don't have any reservation. But if you forget, you can always count of the bar seatings, because most of the time you can get seats right away.
Favorite Dish The food was pretty good, although what I like the most was not the ribs. I really like the Fried Green Tomatoes with shrimp remoulade on top. The wings are very good too. I think the ribs was descent and the dino bbq sauce is definitely not to miss, when you order the ribs.
