Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant Tips (1)

Dim Sum: Yum, yum, Dim Sum!

Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant is located on Central Avenue, which is certainly one of Charlotte's most ethnically eclectlic roads. You'll find many Mexican, Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant choices here, but as far as Chinese food goes, this place is tough to beat. They have an "Authentic Chinese" menu as well as a more Americanized version for non-VT members only! If you come here, stick with the dim sum which is served 7 days a week.

Favorite Dish Dim Sum, of course! For those who are not familiar with dim sum, it is very similar in concept to Spanish tapas. Dim Sum is traditionally served with tea at lunch time in the Chinese culture. Restaurant servers will come around the restaurant with small plates full of little delicacies like steamed shrimp, pork dumplings, various vegetables and much, much more. Many of the dishes are prepared in bamboo steamers and some are even cooked in banana leaves. The only problem is that there is so much variety that you'll have to come back often before you've tried everthing.
