Book Buyers is a great place to browse for some bargains on good reading material. I love used book stores and what this place lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for with good deals.
What to buy: Their fiction section is particularly strong.
What to pay: $1-$10 for a good book.
Address: Corner of Central and The Plaze
Borders is a national chain and has a great selection of just about any kind of book you need. The prices are not the best in town, but it's a great place to kill some time browsing. There is a cafe here that serves soups, sandwiches and coffee. I haven't found another store with a better collection of guidebooks, so if you're ready to explore, this is a good place to stop before you go.
Directions: Across from South Park Mall on Sharon Road near Fairview.
Lim's is the kind of clothing store which appeals to the young urban crowd and one which is most representative of the stores at Eastland Mall.
I go to Metropolitan for the bread. Paesano, Pumpernickle, Sourdough, 8 grain, Whole Wheat and more! I buy their bread anytime I make a good meal.
What to buy: Breads, spreads, coffees and desserts.
Address: 810 Fairview Road
